Google’s New Mobile-Friendly Update Affects your Website
Google’s changing the rules again! In order to stay on top of Google search results and ahead of your competitors, it’s crucial to be up to date on Google’s new mobile-friendly changes. Several times a year Google makes updates, and this is one of the biggest updates yet.
Starting April 21
Google will start giving higher rankings to those with mobile-friendly websites and will be penalizing those without. This means that if someone is searching for something on their phone, sites that are optimized for the mobile user will rank higher than sites that are not. Google reports that 94 percent of mobile users in America use their phones to search for information. Zineb Ait Bahajji from Google’s Webmasters Trends team said the impact of this update with have an even bigger impact than the Google Panda and Penguin updates.
